We offer a comprehensive referral service where we see animals referred to us by other veterinary practices.
We have a number of vets who have undergone training to obtain further qualifications in different areas of veterinary medicine. These include:
- Internal Medicine
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Cardiorespiratory Medicine
- Orthopaedic Surgery
- Spinal Surgery
- Soft Tissue Surgery
- Anaesthesia and Pain Management
- Radioiodine Treatment
- Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy
We also have specialised equipment and facilities at Pride Veterinary Centre which allow our vets to carry out tests and treatments that cannot be done at the patient’s own veterinary practice. For example, we have a sophisticated ultrasound scanning machine which allows us to make precise measurements of animals’ hearts and we have a full range of endoscopes which allow us to see inside animals’ lungs, guts, noses and even bladders. Our facilities include 5 large operating theatres, spacious preparation/anaesthesia area, Intensive care unit, separate dog and cat wards, MRI and CT scanners, ultrasound, endoscopy and X-ray.
In order to be referred, the animal’s own vet must contact us to discuss the case and to decide how we can help. We cannot take referrals directly from the animal’s owner.
