Many of the staff here at Scarsdale Vets Stapenhill & Stretton have a charity which is close to their heart.
You may recall that In April this year, our vet Ciara Zissman, achieved the amazing feat of completing the London Marathon in 5 hours 16 minutes. She was running for SSAFA – the armed forces charity and managed to raise over £2,200. We’re really proud of Ciara – well done!
In September, our Practice Manager Tracey Sandland is taking part in the Nottingham Memory walk to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. Dementia is a cruel disease that will affect everyone in some way – either personally or someone they know. If you’re interested in finding out more about Tracey’s story please visit her JustGiving page.
Blue Cross Emergency Care Fund
We are very pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with the Blue Cross charity to set up an Emergency Care Fund. When pets and their owners find themselves in times of need, the Emergency Care Fund may be able to help with the burden of unexpected vet fees. The Blue Cross can provide a financial contribution of up to £200 towards the cost of emergency treatment for your pet, providing you are in receipt of certain means-tested benefits.
